How do I create my work? First I start with an image, sometimes even a movie in my head. It is hard to explain such a thought process to those who are not able to think in such a unique way. Anyone recall watching a neat movie on DVD? It's like that in my head. I recall my "movies" like one would recall a memory. I can jump from chapter to chapter. I seldom see my movies in chronological order. This makes writing and finishing something a challenge. I can see the characters and animate them in my head while I am drawing. My goal in art and writing is the goal I've had since I started to draw. That is to duplicate what I see in my head as best as possible. Granted I have no patience or the resources to fully animate my creations physically as well as the big budget movies, but the drawings suffice. That's why I may have many drawings depicting the same scene(s). Sometimes the act of making the images "real" makes me "see" the image clearly in my head. Most of my work doesn't get uploaded, but I am actively drawing as I feel spurred to.
